From the A1 take the A697 turn off for Coldstream and follow this road through Longhorsley. Two and a half miles past the village turn left on the B6344 road signposted Rothbury.

Entering Rothbury take the first left off the main street, this is Bridge street. Follow the road over the river and turn right onto Whitton Bank Road.

Follow the road past the hospital until the "T" Junction, turn right - signposted Newtown - this is Carterside Road.

Follow this road for about one and a quarter miles. The entrance to East Newtown Farm is 20 yards beyond the national park sign, bear left here and enter the yard. The Mill is at the top of the yard on the left. Parking is straight ahead parallel to the Mill Wheel.
